Our preferred file type is High Resolution PDF
If supplying us with a PDF please ensure that all text is converted to curves or outlines and the file contains no low-resolution images (300 DPI preferred). We also accept: EPS, AI and packaged InDesign files.
We can work with MS Word and Publisher files, but setup time will be charged. When providing us with your own artwork, please ensure that:
• Your artwork contains no low-resolution images
• All text is converted to curves/outlines
• Your file contains a minimum of 3mm bleed
Printing uses a CMYK colour format (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black). The colours on your screen are RGB colours (Red, Green, Blue). Some RGB colours that appear on your screen can not be printed in CMYK. You must be careful when selecting colours on your printing, as some colours will print “dull” when compared to your computer screen.

Please include 3mm bleed and also ensure that text is a minimum of 3mm from the edge of the page (text margin). The opposite business card example shows how to set up your artwork.

When setting up the text elements of your artwork, please ensure that the text is vector. Using vector text greatly improves the printed quality and readability of your text. Please see the example below as an example of the difference.
The example on the left was produced in InDesign,
Illustrator or even
MS Word. The example on the right was produced using jpg,
Photoshop or a home
graphics package.
